You see it before you buy it
Most people want a website but don't want to gamble on one. So I take the gamble instead.
I build it first
Before we talk about money. I use your real photos and your real reviews, and I send you a link — usually within a few days, and before the end of the week if you message me early in it. One person, no queue, no ticket number.
You look at it
Change anything — the colours, the words, the pictures, all of it. Or say no thanks and walk away. It costs you nothing and I don't chase you.
You pay once and it's yours
$299 by Interac e-Transfer, after the site is live and you've seen it working — not before. Then we're done. No contract, no account to cancel, nothing renewing in the background.
The obvious question
Why not just use GoDaddy?
Fair question, and I'll give you the honest answer instead of the salesman one: for the first year, they're cheaper than me. Here's the whole picture so you can decide for yourself.
- About $10–$20 a month, forever — and it usually jumps once your first term runs out
- You pick the template, write every word, crop every photo, then lay the whole thing out a second time so it doesn't look broken on a phone
- It's the kind of job that starts on a Sunday afternoon and is still sitting half-finished in a browser tab a month later
- Something shifts out of place and there's nobody to ask — that's your Saturday now
- Stop paying and the whole thing switches off
- $299 once. Nothing renews except your ~$18/yr address
- I build it, you tell me what to change, you approve it
- Separate pages for each of your services, so Google can find you for each one
- You own the files. Nobody can switch it off
- $500–$3,000 for a one-page site in Canada
- $2,000–$10,000 for a small multi-page site
- Weeks of meetings and back-and-forth
- Proper job — if you've got the budget for it
So: I'm not the cheapest in month one. GoDaddy is, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I'm the cheapest by year three, I'm a tenth of what an agency charges, and I'm the only one on this list where you don't have to build the thing yourself.

This is my signature, and it isn't decoration — it's the reason people stay. Someone who came to check your hours ends up two minutes into a high score, and a person still on your page is a person still thinking about calling you. Yours gets built around your business: a truck that drives to your shop, a dog that needs a bath, whatever fits.

I'm Carlos. I live in Victoria, and I build websites for small businesses — one at a time, by hand.
When you message me, you get me. Not a contact form, not a ticket number, not somebody in another time zone working off a script. If you want a photo swapped or the wording changed, you tell me and I change it that day.
Before I build anything I go and have a proper look at your business — your photos, your reviews, what your customers actually say about you. The best line on most of these sites is something a real customer already wrote about you years ago. I just put it somewhere people can see it.
I do one thing and I do it carefully: a clean, fast site that works on a phone, made out of what's already yours. You'll know within a week whether you like it, and it costs you nothing to find out.
